01. When she was informed that she could not follow in her father's footsteps and become an executioner, she decided to become a falconer instead. She then gained the surname Falconer. 02. It was not easy being the executioner's daughter. Geneva was born the only child to parents Athelwulf and Essa. Her mother died in childbirth, so for as long as she could remember, it had just been her and her father. If he was disappointed that she was not a boy and couldn't take up the sword and become next in a long line of executioners, he didn't show it. Perhaps it was his fault that she had no problem watching him work. Maybe it was his fault that she had no problem chasing down stray dogs and dissecting them. She was the girl with a falcon on her arm, and though she would never wield the sword, people feared her anyway. They would have feared her if she had been sweet and well-groomed, too, it would have made no difference at all. It was her father who chopped off heads and hung people. No one would want anything to do with his daughter. It was bad luck. It didn't matter that she was pretty and could sing like a songbird. No one wanted to be with her in any capacity and she struggled to get attention.
Geneva was in her 20s when the plague came. It took out most of the village citizens, including the lady who had accused her of killing her dog and tried to get her own father to kill her for the crime. It got her father. Eventually it even got her. It would have been the end for her if the cause of it all hadn't taken a liking to her. The stranger sat beside her bed while she was sick, talking to her like no one else had dared to talk to her before. He wasn't afraid of her. Dying seemed less annoying with someone like him watching it. Her one man audience. Only she didn't die. He gifted her with immortality.
She stuck with her Maker Judas and one of his other progeny for awhile before they all went their separate ways. She joined a group of traveling entertainers as their singer. Through the centuries, she dabbled in all kinds of performance art, from opera to stage acting to circus acts. In the current century, she has become a popular singer, and is diving back into stage acting in Seattle. She goes by the name of Wren to the public. Those that know her personally do call her by her true name. Geneva is one of the few of her age who has yet to make any progeny. She has so far successfully staved off loneliness through her art. As long as she's got fanboys and fangirls liking her photos on Instagram and telling her how gorgeous she is on Twitter, she'll be happy. The darker side to her is still there. She has no problem killing for blood and carrying on her family's legacy as an immortal executioner of sorts.
